A Menu That Waits Its Turn

Navigation lives behind one button, in a full-height dark panel that slides in from the right with your groups, icons, social links and the light and dark switch, over a photo of your choosing. The page itself keeps only a top bar: logo, search, menu.

We put the menu away so nothing competes with the pictures. It is one tap from anywhere, and it stays out of the frame until then.

Flow questions

Is the menu always visible?
No. The page keeps a slim top bar with your logo, a search field and a menu button, on desktop as well as on phones. The button opens a full-height panel from the right with your menu groups, social links, sign-in and subscribe buttons and the light and dark switch. Your secondary navigation appears in the footer.
Do I need to create a page for the hero?
No. The hero comes from the design settings: a title, a description, an image and an optional block of your own HTML, which is how the demo puts social icons under the bio. Pick one of six layouts, ten ways to show the image and left, center or right alignment. Leave every field empty and there is no hero. The hero section of the docs shows each layout.
How do the round highlights work?
Type tag slugs into the highlights setting, in the order you want them. Each tag appears as a circle made from its feature image with the name below, in a row that scrolls sideways on phones. Leave the setting empty and the row disappears. See the highlights docs.
Can the post cards be something other than square?
Square is the grid's native shape and there is no setting for another ratio. A compact option keeps the grid inside the content width instead of edge to edge. If you need a different ratio, the docs include a short CSS snippet for code injection.
Do readers get a dark mode?
Yes. You set the default to light, dark or the reader's system preference, and a sun and moon switch inside the menu panel lets readers change it for their visit. A second logo for the dark scheme keeps your mark legible, and the footer can stay dark in both.
Where do the prices on the Membership page come from?
From your tiers in Ghost. The template reads their monthly and yearly prices, benefits and trial days and lays them out as cards with a Monthly/Yearly toggle. Each button opens Portal at that plan, and a member's current plan is marked. Setup steps are in the Membership page docs.
